My name is Pride, I am a cheater.
I cheat you of your God-given destiny…
because you demand your own way.
I cheat you of contentment…
because you “deserve better than this.”
I cheat you of knowledge…because you already know it all.
I cheat you of healing…because you’re too full of me to forgive.
I cheat you of holiness…
because you refuse to admit when you’re wrong.
I cheat you of vision…
because you’d rather look in the mirror than out a window.
I cheat you of genuine friendship…
because nobody’s going to know the real you.
I cheat you of love…
because real romance demands sacrifice.
I cheat you of greatness in heaven…
because you refuse to wash another’s feet on earth.
I cheat you of God’s glory…
because I convince you to seek your own.
My name is Pride. I am a cheater.
You like me because you think I’m always looking out for you. Untrue.
I’m looking to make a fool of you.
God has so much for you, I admit, but don’t worry…
If you stick with me,
You’ll never know.
I have never read this before…and I absolutely love it! Thank you for posting! ❤️❤️❤️

Incredible poem, and yes I am familiar with this player, unfortunately! It’s so true and I had to reread this a couple of times. Going to share…and reblog. God Bless…Karen

Wow! This really spoke to me. So much so that I’m sharing it over at my place. Thank you for causing me to think, and pray. Humility is so lacking today, and without it, we cannot learn or submit. Thank you for stopping by and for the follow. I’m doing the same here.

This poem really affected me and caused me to think. It was written and posted by a woman that had stopped by my site yesterday. I always try to follow up on those that come by my site…it is a privilege to meet new people. After reading this, I had to share.

Loved this! It made me think of C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters. In that book the devil is so good at distraction.

I know you are a player but still I do not know you.
It is you that makes me tell so.
Because you are a player.
I shall once shun you.
You shall know then, that I have become the player.
Only because I allowed you, you think you are champion.
No ways My Dear.
You yourself say you are a cheater.
Only because of that maybe I allowed you, thinking you were honest.
So let us part.
I am off now to the Truth!
Fond Regards Tammi!

God bless you . Your words make a difference. I did reblog your post even though I only have 500 followers. It will make a difference to many. When I started my blog, I thought, Okay, just one person, if my story helps just one person not feel alone it will be worth it. I can’t wait to see where your blog leads you!
